You may remember the recent invitation via email to explore a story about boat re-building and resurrection in your garden in a small group. We had planned to explore that same story together in real life on the beach this Sunday.
The wonderful British weather has other plans!!!
If, like a few of us, you are asking questions about how we inhabit our community life of Reconnect going forward, you are invited to share this story with others on zoom this Sunday at 3pm. The story will invite us to reflect together on our life learning and/or discipleship, and our community rhythms.
It is designed to be used by a group of all faiths and none working together. It is suitable for all ages, although you will know your own children best and will be able to decide whether or not they will be ready for this kind of online storytelling.
The story is told calmly and reflectively in a sand bag, using simple words, props, movements. The gathered group, is then invited to wonder for themselves about the story. Following which, there will be a lightly guided structure of open questions and an invitationto relate the story to our own community and life experiences.
If we were doing this in real life, there would be a chance to get your own hands in the sand…that will have to wait for another time.
So you know what to expect, there will be a moment at the beginning and end of our time together for reflection and/or prayer.
We will finish by sharing a short time to chat and celebrate our time together.
You are invited to bring – A small piece of drift wood or a stick to use as a prop to help you and your household wonder.
A drink and snack to share at the end,
